• District 1 candidate Donnell “DJ” Hardy will be at Bonjangle’s at South Elm-Eugene Street and the Urban Loop on Oct 12 from 7 to 8:30 a.m.

Donnell “DJ” Hardy will be at Andy’s Burgers at South Elm-Eugene Street and the Urban Loop on Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m.

• The Triad Real Estate and Building Industries Coalition hosts its Pigs, Poultry & Politics event at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown on Thursday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The event is not open to the “general public.”

• Bicycling In Greensboro hosts a breakfast and bike tour for all candidates for Greensboro City Council and citizens concerned about bicycling issues on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Northwest Office Park, located at 2703 West Cone Boulevard.

• Mayoral candidate Robbie Perkins attends the NC A&T Homecoming parade on Saturday.

• The Greensboro Neighborhood Congress hosts a mayoral debate at the Bryan Auditorium on the campus of Guilford College on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. The two candidates will answer questions from a panel of journalists from the News & Record and News 14 Carolina.

• Candidates for Greensboro City Council will mingle with young people at Show of Hands, an outdoor voter awareness event featuring live performances by Camp Lo, MC Kaze, Jenny Besetzt in the parking lot adjacent to M’Coul’s Public House on Oct. 18 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Congregational United Church of Christ, located at 400 W. Radiance Drive, hosts a candidate forum on Oct. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
