Clay Howard remixes Hall & Oates classic “She’s Gone”
Rocksteady Records Artist Clay Howard to release new single, “She’s Gone” on November 25, 2016
North Carolina musician and Rocksteady Records artist, Clay Howard, today announced the release of a new single, “She’s Gone,” on November 25, 2016.
The single, a contemporary, up-tempo version of the classic Hall & Oates’ classic from 1973, was arranged and recorded by Minneapolis musician/producer, Brynn Arens. Brynn also produced the rest of Clay’s upcoming album, I’ll Give You Something To Cry About, due Winter 2017 on Rocksteady Records.
“I never intended for this song to be a single, but a few other folk across the world had different ideas, I guess,” said Clay Howard. “I posted a sneak peek on soundcloud for a day- Darryl Hall’s 70th birthday-and a station in Iowa (KIOW) grabbed it and gave it a spin. After that, a couple of stations (KMNO and KQMY) in Hawaii requested it and played it numerous times that same weekend,” Clay continued. “After that I had requests for the song from several other DJ’s, and podcasters, so they too could play it, and with that, a single was born. I am looking forward to sharing it.”
“She’s Gone” will be available at all online outlets, and will be a part of Clay’s new collection, I’ll Give You Something To Cry About, to be released in Winter 2017.
