Contractors invited to Renaissance Center luncheon with Self-Help
Self-Help, a community development lender based in Durham, is holding a networking luncheon on Thursday for contractors interested in their Renaissance Shops project. The event is geared toward Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises, and is a prime opportunity for subcontractors to meet the general contractors invited to bid on the Renaissance Shops project. General contractors from Self-Help’s ongoing redevelopment of Revolution Mill will also be in attendance.
The luncheon is from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Revolution Mill, 1160 Revolution Mill Drive in Greensboro.
Self-Help was selected by the City of Greensboro to redevelop the old Phillips Avenue shopping center, which has been largely vacant for about 15 years. The location is now known as Renaissance Shops. The bid process for the Renaissance Shops project is expected to begin in early 2015.
Self-Help has set a goal of 25 percent MWBE participation in both the Renaissance Shops and Revolution Mill projects.
Attendees should register online. For more information contact Kim Cameron, Self-Help’s Director of Real Estate at firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-956-4476.
