Be there with Thick-N-Thin for a change today for Tunes at Noon in Center City Park. Elf Power is the smoke and Museum Mouth is the fire at Krankies Coffee, and it ends where Perpetual Groove starts at the Fat Frogg in Elon.

On Thursday, Lost In the Trees do folk big at Artistika. It’s the Season of the Witch so check out Pile’s spooky sound at CFBG. The Ends remain un-googlable at the Blind Tiger. Hit the danceclubs early with Heavygrinder at Greene Street Club, or take ‘er easy with some countryfolk by Amy Speace with Doug & Telisha Williams at the Garage.

There’s some fine pickin’ going on at the Carolina Theatre with Steep Canyon Rangers and guests Amelia’s Mechanics with Laurelyn Dossett. If it’s a senseless jam you crave, there’s the Captain Midnight Band with Electric Soul Pandemic at the Blind Tiger. The best beatmakers in town gather at the Dirty South Beatdown 6 at Greene Street Club, with a performance by Durham emcee Kaze. Psych rockers Minor Stars descend upon the Green Bean with the equally experimental Left Outlet and the Manics. Grab a cup at Greensborough Coffee and see Carolina Story, who also hit Tate Street Coffee on Sunday.

Saturday night is a cover-band bonanza with Allman Extract at the Blind Tiger, and Guerrilla Radio and This Is a Call at Greene Street Club. For the real stuff, see Jews & Catholics, North Elementary and Doug Keith at the Garage. There’s some nice country folk with Andrea Thorn, Caitlin Watkins and Mama Got Saved at the Green Bean, or jam it up with Porch Dog Revival at the Old Winston Social Club.

The True Brothers celebrate their 20-year anniversary by not actually playing guitars at the Blind Tiger, and the Chad Eby Trio shows why their namesake is one of the areas best young jazz players at the Green Bean.

Rufio brings the Peter Pan pop to Greene Street Club with Veara, Before Their Eyes, Close To Home, Yearling and Boxxer, whole Jason Marbach & Barbarossa rock the Garage. Lastly, the Good Ship SS Perry has opened up for Beck, Calexico and the Melvins, and they’ll join Fast Heart Mart at the Green Bean.
