If you’re sick of Christmas music already, the Raving Knaves get with the Nondenoms and Mumu Tutu to jar it out of your head at the Blind Tiger on Thursday.

Who doesn’t love a little THC? That’s the Herman Clan, thank you very much, featuring Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon with guests American Aquarium, and they’ll be at the Blind Tiger on Friday. It’s not February, but All Star Weekend hits town with the Scene Aesthetic, Stephen Jerzak and Action Item at Greene Street Club for the early show. Later on, the Urban Sophisticates make it a double header with J. Timber and the Phive Mics. At the Garage, it’s Easy Bake and Manley Street, while Janus 4-14 and Firelight Saga entertain you at the Green Bean. At Blessings in Winston-Salem, the Fiddle & Bow Society presents the album release party for Immigrant’s Daughter.

On Saturday, Abbey Road does the Beatles at the Blind Tiger, and Communipaw does mildly eccentric indie-folk at the Green Bean. Metalheads will be blown away by Winds of Plague with After the Burial, Carnifex, War Of Ages, Upon A Burning Body, Kong and the Payne Road Tragedy at Greene Street Club. This is Howie Dewitt at Foothills Brewing, but show of the night? That would be Brian McGee, John Howie Jr. & the Sweethearts and Richard Boyd of the Bo Stevens at the Garage.

Handbells are all the rage these days, and the Raleigh Ringers will have a lot of ‘em at the Carolina Theatre on Sunday, or get your Swing On at the Sunset Theatre in Asheboro.

Fast forward to Tuesday, and there’s Science On Tap at the Green Bean. Secret Message Machine, Three-Brained Robot and Buoyant Sea, and I Love You rock CFBG. Birdlips will play some dreamy folk at the Garage with Blackberry Bushes and Supernature, and the Irish Tenors belt it out at the LJVM.
