The Farewell Monument weave weighty soundbytes into haunted post-rock landscapes that stretch well beyond the vanishing point, and they’ll play the Blind Tiger tonight with Shy and Jordan Michael.

On Thursday, the Green Bean has a heavy dose of Southern roots groove by Sugar Lime Blue, noisy no-fi from Left & Right and theo-folk by the Collection. Brother Esau plays Dead at the Blind Tiger, while the stunning Swede folk-pop singer Sofia Talvik visits the Community Arts Café.

The Garage goes HAM on Friday with prog-rockers Damona Waits, the Ages Within and White Knuckle Blackout. The Green Bean has discordant folk by Adelyn Rose with Kalispell and Golden Age. There’s garage-funk by the Broadcast at the Blind Tiger with Doby and Sol Flo. Ernie Haas & Signature Sound play sweet Southern gospel at the Greensboro Coliseum, while there’s Dirty South rap by Don DiGiorgio, Stitchy C, Ed E. Ruger, Ty Bru and Young Stacks at the Clubhouse. Lawyers Guns & Money channel Zevon at Zion Bar & Grille, while the Draves are one bass away from Vanilla Fudge with Carla R. & the Chaos Encounter at the Flatiron.

Americana singer Tyler Nail holds his album release at Krankies on Saturday with help from a few friends and support from Matthew Allivato and Quique Rodriguez-Pastor. The Piedmontsmen, the Grand Ole Uproar and Greenville psych-blues rockers atriskband play the the Green Bean, while there’s Southern metal by Reverend H Chronicles and Whiskey HellChild at the Somewhere Else Tavern. College point guard-turnedcowboy crooner Jody Lee Petty shoots and scores at Arizona Pete’s. I hop you are hardy for the Sahara Reggae Band, Crucial Fiya, Spiritual Foundation and Lion Tracks at Ziggy’s., and The Vagabond Saints Society present “A Tribute to Jethro Tull’s Aqualung” at the Garage.

HGTR comrades Dirty Bourbon River Show make a big ruckus at the Blind Tiger on Sunday. Cindercat and Imperial Blend play prog out at the Flatiron, while Young Fletcher and Smiley Face drop rhymes at Ziggy’s, and DubBoro shoot a music video at Greene Street Club.

It’s paddy noise-rockers Lluther with two Ls at the Blind Tiger on Tuesday with Capture the Flag, Just Like Thieves and Slit Throat Salvation, while Elvis Lives at the War Memorial.
