Hump day is Thump day with a midweek dance party at Greene Street Club starring electronic duo Boombox with Eliot Lipp and Bitch Please, while FloydFest folk-rock faves from Folly Beach James Justin & Co. hit up the Blind Tiger.

Classified Records founder Willits Bowditch visits the Green Bean on Thursday with support from the rootsy Matt Irie and Tim Fogarty. Garage rockers Day Creeper play a one night stand at Black Lodge, while Brett Scallion and some other guys calling themselves Fuel play Ziggy’s with Super Bob.

The Southern Fried Jazz Band play big band Dixieland a rare High Point Theatre concert on Friday, while the Community Arts Theatre hosts Write Up Your Alley: A Songwriters Showcase. Find yourself a girl who loves to fff….ish at the Craig Campbell show at Bucked Up Super Saloon. Punk rockers Crumb Catcher join up with Big Break and Black Santa at the Green Bean, while groove fiends the Family hold their CD release at the Blind Tiger and jazz crooner DeCarlo James plays the Flatiron.

The Blind Tiger celebrates one year in its new digs with House of Fools, indie pop foursome Future of the Party and the Backburners. The incomparable Malcolm Holcombe mixes profane outbursts with incredible songs at the Garage with the Salts opening and Richie Owens & the Farm Bureau closing. Georgia acid rockers Perpetual Groove pair up with Moon Taxi at Ziggy’s. Elonzo brings alt-county with pop undertones to the Green Bean with Sinners & Saints and Adam Bolt. Country rockers Parmalee bounce back after a rough couple of years at Bucked Up Super Saloon, while the Larry David-approved emcee Prettygood plays Facebass at Club Orion with Back2Wax.

Sunday is revue days with dance-rock and pop at the Blind Tiger featuring the Kitchen Sink Fiasco, New Age of Radio, Nova, Nice to Meet You James and Time Machine Drive By. At Greene Street Club, there’s progressive and melodic hardcore by a Light Divided, Damien Deadson, Burnstitch, Alice Practice and Intertwyned. There’s a GLBT songwriter showcase at the Green Bean with Elliott Harvey, Janke Seltsam of Romantic Animal, Angela Vitacolonna and Indee Mitchell, while Ziggy’s hosts a night of Christian death metal and thrash with Becoming the Archetype, Wake of Redemption, Skinkage, Thru World Aggression and Bloodline Severed.
