Greensboro’s Closed Sales Increase in Third Quarter

In Greensboro, 2016 third quarter sales totaled 1,121 which is a 6% decrease from the 1,193 in the previous quarter but year-over-year comparisons indicate an increase of 5.2%.

 The average sold price in the third quarter of 2016 was $186,797 which, with a year-over -year comparison, is an increase of 2%.

There were 940 new pending transactions in the third quarter.  Quarter-over-quarter comparison shows a decrease of 14.1% but year-over-year comparisons show a 2.8% increase.

In Guilford County, closed transactions decreased 5.5% in the third quarter of 2016 compared to the second quarter of 2016, but up 2.8% year over year.  There were 1,885 closed sales in the third quarter of 2016 and 1,995 in the second quarter of 2016.

The average sold price in the third quarter of 2016 was $194,581 which is 3.8% more than the $187,513 in 2015.

The number of new pending transactions totaled 1,603 in the third quarter of 2016, which is 13% less than the 1,842 in the second quarter of 2016.  Year-over-year comparisons show a decrease of 1.2%.
