High Point Arts Council presents JAM Jazz Jam with Wally West Quartet
Join the High Point Arts Council on Monday, April 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the Centennial Station Arts Center for the JAM Jazz Jam that will serve as a kick off for Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) in High Point! Live music will be performed by the Wally West Quartet and the Centennial Station cash bar will be open for this event. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased in advance online at HighPointArts.org/events or at the door on the night of the event beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Following the official proclamation of JAM in High Point by Mayor Wagner, which is scheduled for 5:30 at City Hall, the Arts Council will kick off this year’s JAM in High Point with live music by the Wally West Quartet. Jazz fans and community members will be in for a treat at this live performance that will feature Wally West on saxophone, Dave Fox on keys, Matt Kendrick on bass, and John Wilson on drums. All four artists are some of the best jazz musicians in North Carolina. “With all proceeds from ticket sales going to the artists, this event will not only be a great way to kick off JAM in High Point but will also be a perfect opportunity to directly support jazz artists in our community,” said Clint Bowman, Arts Programs Manager.
The Centennial Station Arts Center is located at 121 S. Centennial Street in downtown High Point.
