Joymongers to host fundraising night for GCS schools
GREENSBORO, N.C.- On April 25, Joymongers Brewing Company will be hosting a night of Relief Fundraising for the Guilford County Schools, teachers and students displaced by the tornadoes last weekend. At both their flagship Greensboro location and the new Barrel Hall in Winston-Salem, $1 of every beer sold on Wednesday evening will be donated to the relief effort hosted by the Greensboro Children’s Museum.
The Greensboro Children’s Museum has been coordinating with the displaced students and teachers from Hampton, Erwin and Peeler Elementary Schools to identify the most needed supplies.
“We loved the way the Children’s Museum was working to help these students and teachers get exactly what they need,” said Joymongers Brewing co-owner, Mike Rollinson. “We’re excited to be partnering with them to further their relief efforts.”
Both locations will feature live music from local musicians, as well as a food truck for patrons to enjoy while they come out to show their support. At the Greensboro location, musicians JT Timber and Joel Henry will be joined by guest musicians for acoustic covers from 8:30-10:30 p.m.
The Bandito Burrito food truck will be onsite for dinner with burritos, tacos, and more 6-9 p.m. In Winston-Salem at the new Joymongers Barrel Hall, rock cover band The Finns will be performing a set from 8:30-10:30 p.m. and the Camel City Grill food truck will be serving dinner 6-9 p.m.
“From the beginning, Joymongers has been all about spreading joy in the community where we live,” said Joymongers co-owner Jim Jones. “We are happy to play a small part in helping the kids and teachers in East Greensboro recover from this terrible storm.”
In addition to the donation, Joymongers will be making from the night’s sales, they will be accepting any additional donations in the form of money or supplies from customers visiting their locations on Wednesday. The Greensboro Children’s Museum has a complete list of the needed supplies on their Facebook page. Visiting patrons can RSVP for the Greensboro event or the Winston event on Facebook.
