Eddie McLaurin owner Woods of Terror

You might be tempted to call this week’s Page Three model the head head of Greensboro’s Woods of Terror Halloween haunted attraction — at least when he’s got his noggin on the platter. But Eddie, who has made this place work for 18 years, takes his haunting seriously. “I think the biggest thing is the size of it,” he says. “It takes more than an hour to get through. When I was a little bit younger and I was going after it, I said, ‘I want the biggest and the best.’ I’m sitting on about 38 acres and I’m using about 30 of it.” Eddie keeps the show fresh with new scares every year — this season’s most exciting is the Blood House, a vampire room that capitalizes on the success of Twilight and “True Blood.” “What’s going on in the movie industry definitely affects what I’m doing,” he says.
