Ruth Spalding must be doing a good job. This weekend’s lecture and concert with notable cellist Yo-Yo Ma is already sold out. And she’s marketing two EMF Fringe events taking place this winter: a Dec. 4 Rockin’ the Christmas Tree party at the Greensboro Cultural Center featuring Lawyers, Guns and Money and Logie Meachum; and the Dec. 9 RedBird Round: An Evening with Songwriters Alice Gerrard, Laurelyn Dossett and Diana Jones at Triad Stage. She wants you to know you can get tickets to either by calling the EMF box office at 336.272.0160 or visiting the website at Spalding, who originally hails from New Jersey, says she moved to Greensboro 17 years ago for a job. “But my husband grew up in Winston- Salem,” she says, “and he really wanted to get out of New Jersey.”
