Patika Starr — Entertainer, director

Most of you know this week’s Page Three model, Patika Starr, as the woman who brought fire-dancing to the mainstream in the Triad. But you might not realize that she has been working behind the scenes on this year’s Castle Carnevale, scheduled for Saturday night at Castle McCulloch in Jamestown, one of the craziest events of the year. “There are different themes all over the property this year,” she says — the Crystal Garden Ballroom, the Hillside Terrace where vendors will ply their wares, the Amber Bridge Stage which will host fire dancing, drums and bellydancing at the Great Hall Patio, a Pirate Bar, a Courtyard Cabaret Tent, a fetish and goth bar called Club Sinister and, in the basement, the Queen’s Chamber, which will house all the burlesque acts. More than 50 performers will do their thing at Carnevale this year for the masked revelers. Definitely worth checking out.
