Paula Enscore

tattoo apprentice

In high school, Paula Enscore was the one who drew all over her peers.

She kept drawing, mostly creating little comics and ’zines. Now, at age 28, Enscore is a tattoo apprentice at Seven Sagas, has her own station and is moving to an appointment basis. She started her apprenticeship over a year ago, and the first tattoo she ever completed was on her own skin. “I’d love to be able to settle down and do one thing, but every day tattooing is different,” said Enscore, who works at Empire Books. “Greensboro is a rich tattoo community — there’s a lot of [artists] around to look at.” Seven Sagas held an opening party for their new location on Nov. 13. Enscore will continue to give “Babe City” tattoos, a fundraiser she created for Mary’s House, through November and possibly December. Contact Seven Sagas at 336.230.2016, 1701 Spring Garden St. Learn about Enscore’s Babe City project at:
