“MayDay on McGee” A Neighborhood Block Party in Downtown Greensboro set for May 19
Greensboro, NC, May 3, 2018 – The first ever Neighborhood Block Party, “MayDay on McGee” takes place on Sat., May 19, 2018 from 1PM-10PM on West McGee street between South Elm and Greene Street traffic circle near Little Brother Brewing. The first annual “give back” festival will be family friendly and include music all day and feature beer from local breweries and the Triad Brewers Alliance. From blues rock, reggae, funk to folk, and everything in between, this downtown-get-down is a celebration of the Greensboro community.
Proceeds will benefit local non-profit, Jah Works, Inc. whose mission is to build sustainable communities by ensuring people have access to clean water, healthy food, relevant education and equitable job opportunities. Little Brother Brewing is one of many key sponsors and advocates to help make this block party happen put on with Triad Brewers Alliance. Josh G King, Molly McGinn, Carri Smithey & Gar Clemens (1-3PM). There will also be a pre-party and an after-party at Little Brother Brewing located at 348 South Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401. Parking will be available at the Greene Street Parking deck.
Food trucks that will be on site are: Bandito Bodega, 1618, M’Coul’s Public House, Cluck Truck NC.
This is an event for all ages and families. There will be face-painting, dancing and friends made.
