Mercy Hill Church to Host One of the Largest Vacation Bible Schools in the Triad
GREENSBORO, NC, June 11, 2018 — Kids Week is one of the most important weeks of the year for local church, Mercy Hill. This year, they are expecting upwards of 750 kids and over 500 volunteers from June 18-21 for their four-day, superhero-themed adventure.
Over 750 kids and 500 volunteers expected to attend “Kids Week” from June 18-21.
Kids Week is for preschoolers (starting with 4 year olds) and all elementary students (ending with those who have completed 4th grade).
It runs from 9:00am-12:00pm. Kids will step into their own comic book and enjoy being a part of the story of Mercy Hill’s superheroes. From making their own capes and masks to launching water balloons at Slimey Stew (the week’s villain), kids will learn that Jesus is their ultimate superhero.
The Mercy Hill Church staff has been working diligently to prepare for a Jesus-centered, fun, and safe week for kids all across the Triad community who will attend Kids Week. In addition, the church has hundreds of parents, young professionals, and retirees volunteering for the event. Many church members are even taking time off of work to invest in the next generation.
“I’ve taken the entire week off from my regularly-scheduled work to pour out my heart and soul into the lives of these kids,” said Jeremy Glover, Mercy Hill member and father. “They’re worth it. And so are their parents, their friends, their classmates, and their teammates.”
Mercy Hill Kids Week will be held at all three of their campuses in Greensboro. Registration for this free event is still open at www.mercyhillgso.com/kidsweek.
