Open Call Auditions for Piedmont Chamber Singers Announcing Season 41: Our Community in Song
WINSTON-SALEM – Piedmont Chamber Singers (PCS) will hold open call auditions for their 41st season on Tuesday, August 14 and Tuesday, August 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. each evening at Maple Springs United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem.
This season, our organization will focus on community and the importance of music-making in our community as each concert will include a collaboration with another community ensemble. Our opening concert on October 20 will feature Rutter’s Mass of the Children, performed with the Winston-Salem Girls’ Chorus. PCS will celebrate the holiday season with Dan Forrest’s Lux: The Dawn from on High, with the Lexington Choral Society on December 7 in Winston-Salem and December 8 in Lexington. And on May 5, 2019, we will celebrate our community with Schubert’s Mass in G, inviting anyone who wishes to participate an opportunity to sing with us.
Those interested in auditioning can find more information on the PCS website by visiting www.piedmontchambersingers.org. To schedule an audition time outside of the open call dates, please email Artistic Director Jayson Snipes at email@example.com.
Piedmont Chamber Singers
The mission of PCS is to perform vocal chamber music, to train musicians in vocal music performance practice, to encourage the composition of new music for the small vocal ensemble, and to broaden interest in choral music as a whole through education and performance. In short, we fulfill our mission by enriching the community through innovative, engaging and compelling choral performances that feed both the intellect and the soul. www.piedmontchambersingers.org.
