Piedmont Triad Area Council to Celebrate American Business Women’s Day
The Piedmont Triad Area Council of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) will observe American Business Women’s Day (ABW Day) on September 15 and 16, 2018.
September 22 is nationally declared to be American Business Women’s Day. It is a day set aside to honor the contributions and accomplishments of the millions of women in the work force. ABW Day was established in 1983 by a joint congressional resolution, signed by then-president Ronald Reagan.
This year’s events will kick off with a covered dish social and entertainment on Saturday, September 15, at 6 p.m. at the Saura Gardens at the Greensboro-High Point Marriott Airport, 1 Marriott Drive. The event is free to all ABWA members and non-members attending the Sunday luncheon. Please bring a covered dish to share.
The council’s annual ABW Day luncheon will be held at the Greensboro-High Point Marriott Airport, 1 Marriott Drive in Greensboro, on Sun., Sept. 16.
Networking begins at noon and the luncheon starts at 1 pm. This year’s speakers include Dr. Sonja Ogletree Satani, ABWA National President, and Karen Williams, District Vice President. Several past and current ABWA National officers will also attend.
Cost of the luncheon is $45 by Aug. 31 and $50 Sept. 1 and after. Tickets may be purchased at http://ptac2018abwday.eventbrite.com.
