Those interested in auditioning for the musical Annie should start preparing for Twin City Stage’s tryouts in the lobby of the Arts Council Theatre. Girls ages 6-12 audition Sept. 10, adults audition Sept. 12, 13. Available are lead roles for three men and three women, ages 30-65, seven named orphans, and an ensemble of nine men, nine women and five orphans, ages 7-12. Girls auditioning for Annie will sing “Tomorrow.” Adults should prepare 16 bars of a song that shows off their range and be prepared to read from the script. If you or your kids are simply interested in picking up an extracurricular, check out School of Greensboro Ballet on the third floor of Greensboro Cultural Center. Registration is now open for classes, which include children dance for ages 3-6, classic ballet for ages 7 to adult, jazz for ages 9 and up, and pointe. Classes run August 29-May 19.
