Foothills wins big at the GABF! Great Beer Dinner planned Sept. 30 at WS Prime

Congratulations to Jamie, TL, Tim, Anthony and Evan of Foothills Brewing in Winston-Salem for their two newest medals. At the Great American Beer Festival, Sept. 18 in Denver, Colo., their bourbon barrel aged Sexual Chocolate was awarded a gold medal, and their Oktoberfest was awarded a bronze medal. This brings the local brewery’s total to six medals awarded in five years of competing at the GABF; in 2010 their beers were among 3,594 beers submitted by 522 breweries around the country. Needless to say, we are all proud of them.

If you are thirsty for a taste of their award-winning beer, the bronze-medal winning Oktoberfest is still on draft at Foothills and several area restaurants, and is also on the menu as part of WS Prime’s upcoming Sept. 30, beer dinner.

WS Prime, in conjunction with our downtown neighbor, Foothills Brewing, invites you to our place for an evening of delicious food paired with their fine quality beverages. WS Prime’s Executive Chef Christian Froelich, has paired some of their delicious food and Foothills fine quality beverages. Chef Froelich has worked hard to create a meal that will be enhanced by each craft brew, while menu selections will draw attention to each beer’s ingredients and flavor.

The dinner will be held at WS Prime, located at 425 N. Cherry Street in Winston-Salem and starts at 6 pm. The menu includes: sweet Thai boneless wings, Pilot Mountain Pale Ale, spicy lemon shrimp on buttery crostini, Oktoberfest, trio of sliders: beef & blue cheese, crabcake and remoulade, meatloaf with whipped potato, Hoppyum IPA, chocolate beer float, People’s Porter.
