Pullman Poet Society Poetry Slam set for April 5
Join the High Point Arts Council on Thurs., April 5, at the Centennial Station Arts Center for the first-ever Pullman Poet Society (PPS) Poetry Slam! This event will be free and open to audiences of all ages. Doors to the theater will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The PPS Poetry Slam will not be structured as a conventional poetry slam, but instead as a chance for anyone to have a platform to have their voice heard and poetry shared with others. Since this event and all High Point Arts Council events are all ages, poetry read on stage must remain family-friendly and free of expletive language. Reading slots are reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis and may also be reserved in advance.
To learn more about this event or how to participate in the poetry slam, contact the Clint Bowman, Arts Programs Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or at
336-889-2787 ext. 26.
The Centennial Station Arts Center is located at 121 S. Centennial Street in downtown High Point. The Centennial Station bar will also be open for this event with specials on craft beer and wine.
