Restoration MedSpa First to Offer Threading by Marisa Faircloth
(WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.) Restoration MedSpa announced this week that Marisa Faircloth, PA-C, will be the first licensed health professional in the Triad to offer a new filler-threading facelift technique. Faircloth now becomes one of only 500 practitioners world-wide who is licensed to perform facelifts using Arque Derma technology.
“I’m honored and excited to be able to offer my patients this new, non-invasive treatment option that can lift the entire face without costly and invasive surgery,” says Faircloth.
Arque Derma thread facelift is an FDA approved, safe, and convenient alternative to traditional facelift surgery. In addition, since it is less invasive, Arque Derma can reduce sagging around the cheeks, jawline, and neck more quickly, and with less risk than the conventional approach.
During the procedure, special threads are used to discreetly hold repositioned skin and facial tissue in place after surgery. Moreover, unlike conventional dermal filler methods that “fill up” wrinkles, the Arque Derma technique targets the structural support of the face by reaching in to bring sunken volume to its original position (much like the frame-work supports a building).
“I think it’s the perfect combination of art and engineering,” says Faircloth about the new procedure. “It also uses less filler, stimulates collagen, and actually lasts longer than traditional treatments. It’s truly genius.”
The idea behind this new artistic restoration lift is the strategic shaping that uses an arching technique. Instead of pools of filler, it provides columns that lift the skin across and up, while redirecting it into a more youthful position.
“It puts things back where they were, so patients get a more natural and youthful appearance,” says Faircloth.
The best candidates for a thread facelift are in their 30s to 60s, and have relatively good skin tone.
“Most patients who can benefit from the Arque Derma technique are beginning to experience sagging in their face or neck, but do not have excessively loose skin or drooping facial areas that might require more rigorous facelift surgery,” said Faircloth.
If signs of aging are relatively minimal, a thread lift may be a good way to make cosmetic enhancements while avoiding facelift scarring and other potential side effects, which sometimes occur after more invasive surgical procedures.
