It’s warming up in fits and starts, which means that downtown Winston-Salem’s Big Eat can make the move outdoors in places with patio seating, like Caffe Prada, which offers buy one, get one free on gelato or coffee drink of the day, or the Mellow Mushroom, where you can get half off an order of pretzels or 20 percent off a pizza.

Speaking of pizza, Burke Street Pizza is opening a new location May 1 at Sherwood Plaza Shopping Center. More details soon.

Bob’s Subs & Pub brewpub is set to open later this spring in the Camel City’s West End.

And in Greensboro, Bender’s Tavern is serving food and drink on West Market Street.

Over in Jamestown, Giovanni’s celebrates its 10-year anniversary this week.

Congratulations on the run, guys, and here’s hoping to many more.

Meanwhile, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in the Shoppes at Friendly Center touts its Memorable Meals campaign. Until March 31, a meal for two of filet mignon, lobster tail, lobster bisque, haricot verts and pear and blueberry tart can be had for $99.

And Greensboro’s Undercurrent Restaurant announces it will be open for Easter. The menu includes asparagus cream soup, lobster and shrimp spring rolls, smoked salmon and rack of lamb. Make a reservation by calling 336.370.1266.

And Subway plans to launch a breakfast menu next month.

On Thursday, check out Arts for Life Healing Meals, wherein Winston-Salem area restaurants donate a portion of the night’s take to the organization’s mission of helping children with terminal illness. Check the website, www.aflnc.org, for more details.

Also on Thursday, Girls on Grapes meets at Chelsee’s Coffee Shop at 7 p.m. to taste and discuss wines from Oregon’s Willamette Valley.

Through the weekend, Whole Foods Market hosts Giving Grill wherein a suggested donation of $5 for the Whole Planet Foundation will get you a hamburger, chips and a drink.

And all Triad locations of Total Wine & More will be tasting Dr Heidemanns Riesling QbA, Ramal Road Chardonnay Carneros, Martin Ray Pinot Noir Santa Barbara and Chateau Rochemorin Rouge Pessac.
