Served begins this week with Triad restaurant news, as Greensboro’s Table 16 tweaks its lunch hours, dropping it down to Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Other days are open for special events.

Also, NOMA Urban Grill in Winston- Salem has added new menu items including craft-style burgers like the stuffed boursin cheeseburger, red curry and mango crab cakes, jerk chicken satay and entrees like pork shanks with wild mushroom demi glace and market seafood selections.

TCBY is getting into the breakfast craze with a new menu. Popeyes is adding new sides and desserts to beef up the menu, though the only one they’re talking about is a molten chocolate lava cake.

Wednesday sees the Fresh Market’s Wine Gala to benefit juvenile diabetes research. For $25 you get wine samples, heavy hors d’oeuvres and fellowship. Call 336.768.1027 to make a reservation.

The Piedmont Triad Farmers Market holds its annual Craft Fair all weekend long. Total Wine & More will also be tasting wines from their 2010 Top 20 at all three Triad locations all weekend.

On Friday, a pair of fundraisers goes down. Flemings Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar holds Welcome Home, a floating cocktail party from 6-9 p.m. to benefit Partners Ending Homelessness. And Natty Greene’s benefits blood and marrow transplant, leukemia and hematology research at WFUSM with a donation of the day’s proceeds plus a $10 beer tasting upstairs at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the SE Fun Fest at Hagan- Stone Park includes a chili cook-off. And over at the Fresh Market they’ll be demonstrating cilantro coconut chicken with vegetable korma and vindaloo curry dip from 3-6 p.m.

Tuesday is Persimmon and Apple Day at Krankies Farmers Market. It is also the day of a five-course Mother Earth Brewing beer dinner at Bert’s Seafood Grille — call 336.854.2314 for more information.

Also on Tuesday, Lucky 32 restaurant features a once-a-week offering of skilletfried chicken cooked in Cane’s Creek locally rendered pork fat, served with mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, collards and cornbread. Oh yeah, Laurelyn Dosset will be performing from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
