Looking for just the right job, or a new career direction? Don’t miss the Winston-Salem Urban League Career Expo 2016 on Wednesday October

26th from 10 am to 2 pm at the Wake Forest Biotech Place, downtown Winston-Salem on Patterson and Fifth. Come early and bring your resume. For more information go to www.wsurban.org. or call 336 725 5614. This event is free and open to the public.

The Winston-Salem Urban League hosts Career Expo 2016 to address the persistent  unemployment, experienced by thousands in the region. In 2013, North Carolina became the only state in the union to be disqualified from a federal compensation program for the long-term unemployed, the result of Governor McCrory’s decision to cut weekly unemployment payments. Those workers many who simply stopped searching for work are no longer included in Federal unemployment statistics reporting. The Winston-Salem Urban League Career Expo will feature employers who are looking to hire for a wide range of  skills and backgrounds, a critical component of the Urban League’s efforts to strengthen the economy and to empower diversity within the Triad workforce.
