Join theHigh Point Arts Council on the second Thursday of the month, April 13, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Centennial Station Arts Center to enjoy the big band music of The Kings of Swing. Instead of being held on the Third Thursday, this concert is one week earlier due to the Furniture Market. And for this concert, the dance floor will be open! Admission is $5 and tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door on the night of the event. All proceeds from this concert goes directly to the band.
In celebration of April being Jazz Appreciation Month, the High Point Arts Council is excited to be hosting the Kings of Swing who beautifully blend trombones, saxophones, trumpets, and string instruments to create one of the best jazz experiences of the Triad. Since 1999, The Kings of Swing have been delivering their big band performances all throughout the Carolinas. Consisting of musicians that are from all over central North Carolina, The Kings of Swing are a perfect example of how music and the arts bring and keep us together.
Doors to the Centennial Station Arts Center will open at 6:30 p.m. The Centennial Station’s cash bar will also be open for this event plus complimentary pub mix. The Centennial Station Arts Center is located at 121 S. Centennial Street in downtown High Point.
