Twin City Slice coming to Fourth Street in Winston-Salem
Less than a week after Kabobs on Fourth announced closing their restaurant at 214 West Fourth Street in Winston-Salem, a new concept with a local restaurant owner is going in. Twin City Slice is expected to open within the next week. Robert Moreau, who’s a partner at Bib’s Downtown, says he wanted to do a solo project that he calls cool, hip and simple. “With all the diverse and fun foods in Winston-Salem, we wanted to be able to really cater to people who work in the area and who are visiting and staying in our hotels. Kabobs was pretty much set up for what we want to do. We just moved some equipment out, put a pizza oven in.”
Moreau says they’ll be doing one thing only. “We’re going to keep it simple and offer pizza by the slice in cheese and pepperoni.” Bottled beverages like soda will be offered and early in the coming year, Twin City Slice should have beer and wine.
Hours will be Monday-Saturday 11am-8pm and Moreau says they’ll see what the market demands as far as expanding the hours beyond that.
