Wake Forest Innovation Quarter celebrates opening of Long Branch Trail
On April 11 at 11 am the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter in partnership with the City of Winston-Salem will celebrate the grand opening of Long Branch Trail, a 1.7-mile publicly accessible greenway, which serves to further connect the Winston-Salem community.
Whether you bike, run or walk in, come to this free event to listen to live music, sample tasty bites from a variety of local food trucks, and visit with health and wellness vendors.
The trail, which runs north to south from N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. to Rams Dr. and connects with the Salem Creek Greenway, provides a new path for community residents, workers and visitors to enjoy downtown Winston-Salem.
The trail was built through a partnership between the Innovation Quarter, @City of Winston-Salem, the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Rail Division.
Activities will be held near the Fogle Street Bridge – Long Branch Trail South. Access the trailhead of this location off the intersection of Third St. and N. Patterson Ave.
Visitor parking will be available in the P5 lot accessible off 5th street. Guests may access the trail from the P5 parking lot and walk or ride south to enjoy the festivities.
