“What Would Mary Ann Do?” Gilligan’s Island’s Dawn Wells coming to High Point Theatre
High Point, North Carolina — The High Point Theatre will present its final “Passport to Entertainment” season performance for 2017-2018 on Saturday, April 28, at 8:00 PM. Dawn Wells, who played the sweet, polite, thoughtful and much beloved character, Mary Ann, on the ‘60s hit TV series Gilligan’s Island, will delight her Triad audience with an evening of heartwarming and hilarious storytelling during the “What Would Mary Ann Do?” Confessions Tour.
Dawn Wells – actress, producer, author, spokesperson, journalist, motivational speaker and teacher – is known simply by most as “Mary Ann” on Gilligan’s Island. Although the show is the longest running sitcom still showing worldwide in over 30 languages, Wells has also authored a book entitled “What Would Mary Ann Do?” which she released in September 2014 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the show’s premiere. In addition, she has done over 150 television shows including recurring roles on Growing Pains, The Love Boat, 77 Sunset Strip and many others. She has over 70 theatrical productions and numerous feature films to her credit as well, and has appeared on countless radio and television talk shows including 4 appearances on The Today Show.

“Good girl” captivates audiences with behind the scenes clips and slides, offers thoughts on today’s social issues using principals of show’s beloved characters.
Featuring a multi-media presentation filled with vintage family slides, rare clips and hysterical outtakes, Wells will present “What Would Mary Ann Do?” based on her tribute book to Gilligan’s Island. And, she will address topics from manners to today’s men, young girls’ desire to be alluring, and more, using principles of the various Gilligan’s Island characters. Dawn wraps up the show by taking questions from the audience, leaving everyone with a memorable experience they will talk about for years to come.
