CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO NAMES NEW PROGRAM DIRECTOR IN GREENSBORO CLUSTER STATIONS
Clear Channel Radio Operations Manager Jeff Cushman announced the appointment of a new program director for WMKS (105.7 FM, “NOW”) and WVBZ (100.3 FM the Buzz) who goes simply by the name “JoJo” on May 13. “I had the opportunity to talk to many qualified candidates and JoJo simply stood out. His passion for the product and drive to succeed will continue these two stations’ dominance in the marketplace,” Cushman said in a press release. “Plus, I’m a lot taller than he is….” The quips kept rolling as JoJo is quoted saying he is “excited to join forces” with other Clear Channel Radio employees and will “make Starbucks runs and fetch golf balls from the end of the hallway.” With no last name mentioned throughout the whimsical press release, the question still remains: Who the heck is JoJo? The consensus among YES! Weekly staffers is that JoJo is a dog. Cushman could not be contacted for comment.
