Winston-Salem restaurant lands rock star Greensboro chef to be a part of the community culinary experience.
Foodie news worth announcing….
Local “celebrity chef,” cookbook author, storyteller Jay Pierce is headed to Winston-Salem to lead the kitchen at the beloved Mozelle’s Fresh Southern Bistro at the city’s West End.
Pierce said he’ll continue to make local his priority.
“We do intend to focus on what Mozelle’s is known for and what it does well, and figure out how to be more consistent, more locally driven, more passionate about every meal.”
Pierce, who hails from New Orleans, is known for putting the popular Lucky 32 on the map locally before he headed to Charlotte to open another restaurant. But the Triad called him home and most recently he completed a stint with The Traveled Farmer. He released his cookbook, Shrimp: a Savor the South Cookbook in 2015 and said he’s thrilled to be headed to the City of Arts and Innovation.
“I’m really excited to work with Jennifer and to join this already vibrant community.”
We think he’ll fit right in.
