    Where: The Winston-Salem Air Show at Winston-Salem’s Smith Reynolds Airport celebrates more than 102 years of taking to the skies. The 2015 air show includes a Harrier Jump Jet Demonstration, Areostars Aerobatic Team, a Cobra and a Huey Helicopters and much more. Parking is free.

    What: Texas Pete Culinary Arts Festival

    When: September 19-20

    Where: The Arts District

    Downtown welcomes the return Texas Pete Culinary Arts Festival. This event will be in the Arts District September 19 from 11 a.m. to 11p.m., and September 20 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. Both Local chefs–and some nationally known ones, too–get cooking to tunes from local music acts.

    Twenty local restaurants will also participate in the event. Live music will be on hand. Admission is free. For more information visit http://texaspetefest.com.
