It’s man time again on YES! Weekly’s Page Three, when we ignore the pleadings of our male hetero readers and offer up a little something for the rest. This week we feature Jeremy Hunter, lead singer and occasional guitarist for the local rock band Green People, shot in his natural habitat: the stage at Gate City Noise music store on Tate Street. Jeremy’s young ‘— just 22 ‘— and the music business has not yet left his proud shoulders sagging nor snuffed the eager light in his eye. ‘“It’s going pretty good, man,’” he says. ‘“We just came out with a live album [Live at Solaris].’” The group’s next live show will be on June 3 at College Hill Sundries, where you’ll certainly hear them play Jeremy’s new favorite song, ‘“Goin’ Places,’” a Green People original. Advice to wannabe groupies: you’ve got the best chance of landing a rocker if you show up for soundcheck.
