ZECHARIAH ETHERIDGE-SENIOR – SOCIOLOGY / AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES / MINOR IN RELIGIOUS STUDIES AT UNCG
Zechariah Etheridge has worked with the NAACP, currently has an Internship with Enterprise, as well as one with Elimu Learning Center here in Greensboro where he is program administrator helping tutor kids in the program and make sure all the excursions and trips are set up properly.
Aside from school, he plays the guitar, writes as much as he can, and one could definitely call him a voracious reader, currently finishing up a book on marketing – last time we spoke he was reading a book on God and Religion, and sometimes he will be reading on Philosophy, or the galaxy. He is eclectic with his ideas and thoughts on the world. You can tell he could be placed in any different setting and make it work for him. Everyone is drawn not only to his sense of style but to his mind. Intelligence and a hunger for experiences are personified when he is around those he can learn from. He gets a lot of his drive from his mother and uses the phrase “attitude determines altitude,” which he picked up from his grandfather.
“My biggest goal would be to have everyone appreciate and find a love for art. Even though that is extremely broad if everyone was able to love art, we could love each other’s differences as well. It’s all encompassing.” Etheridge said, camera in hand while we stroll through UNCG’s park. !
