It would not be inappropriate to call this week’s Page Three model a drama queen. And that’s not a bad thing: Lori Ingle, a UNCG graduating senior majoring in acting, has been performing in the university’s productions for years. Greensboro theatergoers have seen her in Fuddy Meers, the summer repertory staging of The Country Club and most recently in Death and the King’s Horseman, where she played a princess. ‘“I was one of the supporting roles. I wore this huge dress. It was actually pretty awesome.’” After graduation the 22-year-old Charlotte native is going to hit the road for Chicago ‘— the city, not the musical ‘— to see how far her talent can take her. ‘“My plan right now is to jump into the theater scene there.’” She says she’ll miss Southern home cooking, specifically her mother’s chicken pot pie, and also her grandma. ‘“She’s the sweetest lady ever,’” she says.
