Arts Splash Featuring Chatham Rabbits presented by High Point Arts Council
Join the High Point Arts Council on Sunday, July 8, at 6:00 p.m. at Oak Hollow Festival Park for the third concert of this year’s Arts Splash concert series! This year, the Arts Council is excited to welcome Chatham Rabbits and Daniel Ayers to the High Point area for this special free performance.
Chatham Rabbits is a folk duo from Bynum, North Carolina, that consists of Sarah Osborne McCombie (formerly of South Carolina Broadcasters) and Austin McCombie (formerly of DASH). Sarah’s younger brother, Daniel Ayers, who is also a North Carolina folk artist, will be joining Chatham Rabbits for this performance. Chatham Rabbits and Daniel Ayers have previously performed together at the Centennial Station Arts Center as part of the Arts Council’s Third Thursday concert series. Performing traditional and original folk songs, Chatham Rabbits provide a fresh take on the folk music that is rooted deep in our state.
Oak Hollow Festival Park is located at 1841 Eastchester Drive in High Point. Each Arts Splash concert is completely free to attend and open to all ages. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic dinners. No alcoholic beverages are permitted at any of the concert locations. If there is a threat of rain, call 336-889-ARTS after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday to get the latest update on the concert.
