ArtsGreensboro Appoints April Harris as Interim Director of Development
Greensboro, N.C., May 15, 2017 — ArtsGreensboro President & CEO Thomas Philion announced today that April Harris has assumed the interim position role of Director of Development, effective immediately.
April will support ArtsGreensboro during the final six weeks of its annual community-wide campaign for the Arts, which ends on June 30th. ArtsGreensboro is the only umbrella organization dedicated to strengthening the entire arts landscape of Greensboro and Arts Fund dollars will support critical infrastructure and grants to more than 50 arts organizations, projects, schools and artists this year. With 46 days left in the campaign, April will work with the board and staff to remain laser focused in meeting the campaign goal of $1 million by June 30th.

April brings to ArtsGreensboro her strong background in economic development through her work as Principal at New City Ventures and Co-Founder of HQGreensboro. She specializes in fundraising, marketing, public policy and community outreach and her proven success of local public and private stakeholder relationships are an asset to the ArtsGreensboro organization. April also served as board chair for ArtsGreensboro for two terms between 2009-2013 and has a solid understanding of its mission to campaign for the Arts.
