Bookmarks Presents Fall Book Club Social Mon., Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at Footnote
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Bookmarks is presenting a Fall Book Club Social Mon., Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at Footnote, which is located at 634 W. Fourth Street #120 in downtown Winston-Salem. This is a free event, but reservations are requested, to register visit firstname.lastname@example.org.
This social is perfect for those who are already in a book club looking for new ideas—or for those who want to start a book club and are looking for members. Bookmarks will feature a variety of book lover giveaways, suggestions for book club books, and details on Bookmarks’ expanded 2019 Movable Feast and Parapalooza.
Eric Svenson, who has worked with HarperCollins Publishers for nearly 30 years, will be a special guest speaker and will share their hot titles for fall, winter, and spring. Light refreshments and Raffaldini wine will be served.
“Gathering to talk about books is a key part of so many of our lives,” said Ginger Hendricks, Executive Director of Bookmarks. “Bookmarks loves working with book clubs to further our mission of connecting readers with books and authors.”
Bookmarks works with dozens of community book clubs and hosts four book clubs internally each month including That’s Not My Genre, Kids, and We Read YA. Special discounts on book club selections are available to book clubs who register their book club with Bookmarks.
Bookmarks is a literary arts nonprofit organization that fosters a love of reading and writing in the community. The programming connects readers with authors and books and is achieved through the largest annual book festival in the Carolinas to be held September 5-8, 2019; an Authors in Schools program, which reaches 9,000 students annually; and year-round events in their gathering space and nonprofit independent bookstore that opened July 8, 2017.
