Bookmarks presents Gwendolyn Womack and her new thriller, The Time Collector
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (May 22, 2019) – Bookmarks is excited to host bestselling and PRISM award-winning author Gwendolyn Womack, author of The Memory Painter and The Fortune Teller. She will be in conversation with New York Times bestselling author Charlie Lovett as part of his popular “Inside the Writers’ Studio” podcast. This live recording will take place on Monday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Bookmarks Bookstore at 634 W. Fourth Street #110 in downtown Winston-Salem. The event is free and open to the public.
Womack will discuss her latest novel and fantasy thriller The Time Collector, which follows Roan West, a highly skilled psychometrist with the ability to perceive the past of any object he touches. His quiet life as a voyeur is thrown out of balance when his fellow psychometrist and close friend, Stuart, unearths several out-of-place artifacts that challenge recorded human history—and promptly vanishes. In the midst of disappearing and dying psychometrists, Roan discovers Melicent Tilpin on YouTube, unaware of her priceless and dangerous gift. Roan must find a way to warn Melicent while searching for Stuart, and in the process stumbles across startling, terrifying truths that were perhaps forgotten for a reason.
“The Time Collector is a compelling exploration of time, history, and our primal need to connect with the past,” Lovett says. “It’s also a rollicking adventure through ancient mysteries and the moving story of two stunningly drawn characters, chasing the answer to the question of what it means to be human.”
