Chopt Opens Greensboro Location: Salad Restaurant known for quality, flavor and creativity opens second location in North Carolina’s Triad
GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA April 26, 2019: Chopt Creative Salad Co., the fast-casual restaurant that reimagined what a salad can be, is excited to announce the opening of its 9th North Carolina restaurant at 3326 W. Friendly Ave. in Greensboro May 1
In celebration of its opening, Chopt is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, a local nonprofit organization whose work focuses on ending hunger in the community for its Chopt Gives Day event April 30.
Chopt combines seasonal ingredients and authentic flavors from around the world to invent unbelievably craveable salads and bowls. At Chopt, 17 scratch-made dressings and freshly-brewed iced teas and lemonades, are all made fresh daily. They also build partnerships with regional artisans and purveyors within each of their communities; in North Carolina their menus feature Holly Grove Farms goat cheese, Coddle Creek Farms honey, Kale from Wise Farms, Lenny Boy Kombucha, Scott Farms sweet potatoes, Camino Bakery artisanal bread, and Apples from Deal Orchards, which add a unique and local freshness to the menu.
Chopt is constantly searching for inspiration to bring to its creative offerings. In addition to its classic and build-your-own salad options, Chopt travels to a new destination every few months, creating a limited-time only menu inspired by locations near and far. The Greensboro location will open with Destination California, a feature of the greatest tastes of the region via the Spicy Sonoma Caesar Salad, Chinese Chicken Bowl, and Baja Shrimp Wrap.
As is the custom with each new restaurant opening, Chopt will celebrate Chopt Gives Day on April 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again for dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. All customers who make a monetary donation to its charitable partner Second Harvest Food Bank will receive a free salad. This is the second time Chopt has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, giving about $4,000 of community contributions collected at the Winston-Salem opening to the nonprofit.
“We’re excited that Chopt Creative Salad Co. has again selected Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC to be the benefiting non-profit partner for its Grand Opening activities, this time for a new store coming to Greensboro,” said Carolyn Breese, Director of Development and Community Relations for the food bank. “Our organizations share an understanding that people need healthy food, not just calories, to power through their days. Second Harvest will use the donations to support our food distribution program, which provides fresh and staple food items to more than 100 local food assistance programs serving Guilford County.”
The new 2,900-square-foot location features over 76 seats, including communal dining areas, comfortable booth seating, a covered outdoor patio area, and playful wallpaper created in partnership with Batabasta, a Spanish design duo. The store is located at 3326 W. Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410 and can be reached at (336) 265-1401. Chopt’s hours will be Monday – Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:30am – 8 p.m..
