City Manager Receives R.V. Moss Lifetime Service Award
R.V. Moss Lifetime Service Award
City Manager Jim Westmoreland was recently presented with the R.V. Moss Lifetime Service Award. The award recognizes members of North Carolina Society of Transportation Engineers (NCSITE) who have served the society with distinction.
NCSITE is a professional society of those involved in transportation engineering activities. It is affiliated with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), an international professional society of transportation engineers.
Westmoreland received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University and is a registered professional engineer in North Carolina. He previously served as secretary, vice president and president of NCSITE. Westmoreland was recognized for his service on local councils, boards and committees, and for his dedication to NCSITE. He was also the first recipient of the Young Professional’s Award in 1999 from NCSITE.
