Encouragement Café Fulfills Dream of Author Grace Thomas’ first book, “Little Ashley”
Clemmons, NC (October 1, 2019) ― Encouragement Café (EC) officially launched the EC Press—a publishing ministry that offers aspiring Christian authors direct access to a comprehensive team of designers, editors, illustrators, personal consultants, and planners—on July 1, 2019. Today, EC Press proudly announces the publication of its first book, “Little Ashley,” written by 19-year-old student and author Grace Thomas.
Grace’s book tells the tale of two trees that grow to learn how to deal with change. The book was beautifully illustrated by EC artist Lisa Albinus, one of many ministry members who helped breathe life into the endearing 32-page children’s story.
“EC Press is thrilled to help aspiring writers like Grace fulfill their dreams of becoming published authors,” says Luann Prater, founder and executive director of Encouragement Café Ministries. “The gift of writing is a calling for many young women, but the process can be both daunting and expensive. EC Press provides a support system that makes publishing an obtainable reality.”
A new webpage devoted to the EC Press has been added to the Encouragement Café website, encouragementcafe.com. Writers of all ages are invited to visit the page and submit a proposal. The EC Press page is user-friendly and offers publishing tips, a downloadable proposal form, FAQs, and, most importantly, encouragement.
The EC Press is committed to the emotional and spiritual development of Christian writers. The group intends to publish 26 books within the next three years under the EC Press name.
“God has done so much for Encouragement Café in just 10 short years,” says Prater. “He has gathered together a group of immensely talented women—each with their own unique gifts. This next chapter in our ministry is just one of the ways we can bless others who long to share their hearts, journeys, and imaginations with the world.”
