Experience Worlds of Wonder at the Greensboro Science Center ‘s See to Believe Gala
GREENSBORO, NC — The Greensboro Science Center ‘s (GSC) annual gala, See to Believe, will take place on Friday, Sept. 14 from 7-11 p.m. Each year, See to Believe is uniquely themed to pay homage to the GSC’s distinct experiences, exhibits and milestones. This year’s event, sponsored by First Bank, will honor the many Worlds of Wonder GSC guests are invited to explore — from an underwater oasis to an exciting atmosphere filled with lively lights and colors.
Back by popular demand, gala guests will enjoy a variety of games, including Prehistoric Grand Prix, Cosmic Connect 4, Pacific Plinko, and Flaming-O Ring-O. The “Where the Wild Things Are” online silent auction will return, offering memorable experiences designed to make dreams come alive – from a private dinner in the aquarium to animal feeding opportunities.
Attendees will be invited to dance the night away with high-energy dance band Fantasy or mingle in the aquarium to Tracy Thornton’s steel drumming. Heavy hors d’oeuvres from Pepper Moon Catering as well as a variety of premium beer and wine will be available for guests to enjoy as they roam, discover and celebrate.
New this year, gala attendees can help bring Malayan tigers to the GSC via its “Fund the Tigers” effort. The Malayan tiger is a critically endangered species with less than 500 individuals left in the wild, and the GSC believes it is critical to participate in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan for this species. Gifts given during Fund the Tigers will help in many ways, including building brand new indoor housing, creating safe and appropriate space for birthing and cub rearing, and covering travel cost for the tigers.
Starting at $85, See to Believe tickets and sponsorships are available online at greensboroscience.org/seetobelieve. Attendees must be age 21 or older.
