Furnitureland South presents American Heart Association in the Triad with $70,000 check for heart disease & stroke research and prevention education
Furnitureland South presented a check today to the American Heart Association in the Triad for a $70,000 donation to benefit heart disease and stroke research and prevention education in our community. The funds were raised at Furnitureland South’s Annual A. Darrell Harris Memorial Golf Tournament.

Heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 5 killers of both men and women in the United States. Diseases of the Heart are the 2nd leading causes of death and stroke is the 5th leading cause of death in Guilford County. However, 80% of heart disease and stroke-related illnesses are preventable with managed risk factors and heart-healthy lifestyle changes.
