GCDF annual event engages, includes entrepreneurs and small businesses
Greensboro, N.C.– Greensboro Community Development Fund (GCDF) is pleased to announce that they have partnered with Wells Fargo to bring the 2nd Annual Engagement & Inclusion Summit to the Triad.
The Engagement and Inclusion Summit (EIS 2018) will be held at The Conference Center at GTCC (Guilford Technical Community College) on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. EIS 2018 is an opportunity for businesses to engage in dialogue and learn where the greatest opportunities for their businesses exist from experts who have experienced success in their respective fields. The Summit is also an opportunity for professionals that support the success of small businesses to discover what challenges businesses owned by women and people of color encounter, how they overcome them, and who they engage to achieve their success.
Wilson Lester, Executive Director of GCDF, states that “Many small and growing businesses have the skills and ability to succeed, but do not always have the trusted guidance or resources to get to the next level of opportunity. We are excited to partner with Wells Fargo to start this crucial exchange of information and ideas.”
In addition to high profile speakers, local small business procurement advocates, and successful entrepreneurs, this year EIS 2018 will also include a collaboration with Global Empowerment Solutions (GES) to bring their signature impact programming to creative crafters and artisan makers in the Triad. The Holiday Hustle: Workroom & Showroom program helps craft vendors prepare for the “holiday hustle” through business training, access to capital, and an opportunity to sell and test products during a showroom pop-up market vending event. Several local artisans and creative makers will be vending during the EIS 2018 networking reception from 4-6 PM.
