Getting good vibes from VibesUP
By: Shanna S. Withers
If you build it, they will come…. or, will they? In a society that thrives on the convenience of online shopping, one might suggest that the idea of opening a new retail store in the middle of such an era would lend lost hope to an up-and-coming entrepreneur. For Carly Sink, franchise owner of VibesUP -the HAPPY HEALTHY shop at 2512 Reynolda Rd. in Winston-Salem, this was a chance that had to be taken. So, she built it – literally, from the ground-up. With the helping hands of her closest family members, upcycled wood from family land in Yadkinville was used to construct the displays, walls, counters, and shelves inventing the most unique store with an atmosphere that will certainly bring up your vibes.
Each day that we set out to embark on our tireless journeys of life’s endless demands, our bodies become depleted and tired. If the need to “recharge” yourself sounds like a day of therapy that you needed a decade ago, VibesUp might be the place to do just that. Sink wanted to start a business that could share the powerful benefits nature has to offer, as our modern lifestyles do not permit us to get outside and be immersed with the Earth’s ions and plant essences like our ancestors once did. She believes this is the easiest and effective way to bring nature back to the body in a wearable form while providing healing benefits according to each customer’s personal needs.
VibesUP products are unique in a way that the average integrative health industry cannot offer. While providing stylish and practical options which focus on non-pharmacological approaches to pain management, holistic remedies for ailments, and lifestyle support for longer-term results, these products don’t require a daily supplement to swallow or recurring follow-up appointments with a healthcare professional. The benefits of the crystal, gemstone, essential oils and Earth energies are integrated into products that we use every day so that one can heal without making drastic lifestyle overhauls or utilizing more invasive and time-consuming measures.
Perhaps the most unique aspect is that the store in its physical being exists as a portal through which all negativity is literally left at the door through the incorporation of the product’s energies into the very building itself, providing substance to the name, “The HAPPY HEALTHY shop.” The walls are even coated with crystal paint creating a room equivalent to what Sink calls “a little nature reserve.” The products here allow the human body to rebalance back into its natural form – conceivably an invigorating affair after living in a world where surrounding toxins and emotional stressors can create a sense of fatigue and overstimulation. Some visitors even like to come for a personal recharge while grounding themselves on “easy chairs” coated in a mat material comprised of a matrix that contains over 20 different gemstones and essential oils.
Sink describes the mat material as “the bread and butter” of VibesUP. It is used on a variety of products with different combinations of gems and essential oils, depending on the benefit that the customer is aiming to receive. It’s incorporated into shoe inserts, bed mats, EMF harmonizing laptop pads, migraine head wraps, and many more items for everyday use. The themed bracelets offer a plethora of benefits; including allergy support, metabolism boost, and energy and motivation. A pain bracelet is also available, which incorporates essential oils that are known for reducing pain and inflammation. The products exist as an easy outlet for personalization so one can “vibe” throughout the day according to items he/she uses most. If accessories aren’t viable, VibesUP offers so much more, such as water bottles with a crystal and gemstone charging bottom, as well as items like Vibrational Art Work that emit positive energies and ions into the room.
While online shopping may allow life’s swift rapids to advance in steady motion, one might take notice that stepping out of these rushing waters could be beneficial in achieving the regeneration that seems so widely desired. Shopping at VibesUP – the HAPPY HEALTHY shop offers a recharge while visiting, but best of all, wellness is available for purchase. It’s as though consumers have the benefit of taking a little piece of the HAPPY HEALTHY store to-go.
