Greensboro Arm Wrestling League hosts October 20 Event at Gibb’s Hundred Brewing
GREENSBORO (October 8, 2018) – The Greensboro Arm Wrestling League presents GRAWL Brawl IX: Broadway Babes at 7 p.m., October 20, at Gibb’s Hundred Brewing Company, 504 State St., Greensboro. This event is a benefit for the nonprofit QORDS, a teen music camp. Audience members are encouraged to wear costumes to this GRAWLoween event. Admission is $6.
GRAWL Brawl IX will benefit QORDS
GRAWL is bringing all your favorite musical ladies to the table: Little Orphan Whammie, Alexandra Slamilton, Mary Pop-Ya-in-the-Chins, Mrs. Shove-it, Elphaba, Jesus Christ Super Strong, Mistress Mistofosleaze, and Aretha Shank-em, wrestling on behalf of QORDS.
QORDS (Queer-Oriented Radical Days of Summer) is an overnight camp for queer and gender non-conforming youth or youth from lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, questioning, intersex, or asexual families. By empowering youth and building community through music and the arts, QORDS is a vehicle for expressing gender and sexuality in an environment of self-discovery and social change.
Our Emcee for the night will be Drew Meyer. DJ84 will be spinning beats throughout the event and guest judges for the evening will be local songstress Sunqueen Kelsey, queen Jean Jacket, and NC House candidate Ashton Clemmons.
Audience members are encouraged to donate more money throughout the event by contributing to their favorite wrestlers. Doors open at 7 pm. Arm wrestling begins at 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door. This is an all-ages event.
The Greensboro Arm Wrestling League (GRAWL) is an all-volunteer organization that aims to help its community through badass, progressive theatrical events.
