Greensboro Symphony Evan Feldman, Guest Conductor presents The Dukes of Dixieland: The best New Year’s Eve party in town!
(GREENSBORO, NC)— Bourbon Street heads to Greensboro this New Year’s Eve, bringing along the hottest New Orleans jazz group on the country! Blending traditional jazz with 21st century styles, The Dukes of Dixieland meld ragtime, blues, and American anthems into one dynamic evening. Don’t miss a Mardi Gras-style celebration and the best New Year’s party in town with the Greensboro Symphony!
The DUKES began playing together in 1974 in a jazz club in the French Quarter. Soon after, they renamed the club to “DUKES’ PLACE” with the blessing of its previous owner, Louis Prima. A year later, the DUKES began accepting concert dates with orchestras, festivals, and Performing Arts Centers across the United States and overseas. Having performed with the Boston Pops, San Diego Symphony, Dallas Symphony, and more, the Dukes are sure to put a show to remember!
With the extraordinary talents of band leader Kevin Clark on trumpet, JD Haenni on bass, Joe Kennedy on piano, David Mahoney on drums, Wes Anderson on trombone, Owen Callahan on reeds, and, of course, the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, The Dukes of Dixieland’s New Year’s Eve concert is the only way to bring in 2019!
