Greensboro Symphony Orchestra HOPS Series coming to Preyer Brewing Sept. 30
(GREENSBORO, NC)—The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra (GSO) announces an exciting partnership with Preyer Brewing Company, 600 Battleground Ave., Greensboro, crafting the first performance of the Greensboro Symphony HOPS Series Sept.30 from 5-6.30pm. The 90-minute performance will feature Greensboro Symphony musicians playing classical chamber music by composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Joplin…plus some fun musical surprises!
Single tickets for the new Series are only $20.00 and include the 90-minute Chamber performance, free swag including custom pint glasses, koozies, bottle openers, and more – plus, the Symphony will cover your first drink! Preyer and the GSO are also collaborating on an exciting new beer release for the September 30th performance – dubbed “Bachtoberfest’ – in honor of the traditional German holiday, which runs September 22 – October 7.
“Music, just like beer, is a community builder, and we’re thrilled to kick off the Hops Series with the Greensboro Symphony,” said Nicole Preyer, owner of the downtown brewery. Preyer also indicated she is excited about the opportunities presented by the new beer release. “Bachtoberfest is a lightly malty, traditional Oktoberfest made with 100% NC malt, releasing during our inaugural Hops Series concert,” she said.
“Preyer Brewing is an ideal partner for a series like this, considering how collaborative and community-minded they are,” said Daniel Crupi, Chief Operating Officer of the GSO. “I think a fun, casual series in such a unique space will help break down some literal and figurative barriers and introduce an entirely new audience to classical music.”
Only 100 tickets will be sold for the event – and the GSO expects a sell-out performance. So get your tickets today at http://greensborosymphony.org/concerts/hops-series/!
