Guilford County Republican Party Elects New Leadership Team
Jamestown, NC – On Sat., Mar. 9 the Guilford County Republican Party held its annual convention. The county convention is an opportunity for local activist to elect the chair and the executive leadership team. In addition, the Guilford County Republican Party elected delegates to the state convention.
“I was encouraged by the turnout and energy of our county party for the convention,” David Gleeson (Guilford County Republican Chair) said. “Our volunteers are truly energized and ready to make a difference in the 2019 and 2020 elections. I look forward to leading our party to elect quality candidates — it is truly an honor to serve as the new chair.”
David Gleeson was elected as the new chair of the Guilford County Republican Party by affirmation. He is looking to take the skills he has acquired in the private sector and community service and apply them to lead the party in a positive direction.
“With our new team, we have the ability to truly get a positive Republican message in the community,” Sebastian King (Guilford County Republican Executive Director) said. “Our party proudly stands for opportunity, access to a quality education and the ability to achieve any dream one has in life. From starting a small business, going into teaching or just wanting government out of the way, the Republican party has a place for you.”
Sebastian King was appointed at the Guilford County convention to serve as the Executive Director by Chairman Gleeson.
The county officials also elected were: Chris Meadows, 1st Vice Chair; Alissa Batts 2nd Vice Chair; Paul Daniels 3rd Vice Chair; Michelle Bardsley, Secretary; Steve Golimowski, Treasurer; and Martha Miller, Assistant Treasurer.
“It’s an honor to have been elected 1st Vice Chair of the Guilford County GOP” said Chris Meadows.
Alissa Batts remarked, “I feel blessed to have been given this opportunity to serve as GC-GOP’s 2nd vice Chair.
